The discoveries of the Atapuerca deposit in relation to the anatomy and physiology of the middle and inner ear will serve to advance in the study of auditory pathologies like deafness and its medical application.

This is the objective that the Chair of Evolutionary Otoacoustics and Paleontropology that the University of Alcalá (UAH) and HM Hospitals They have launched by signing an agreement that represents a new space for collaboration between basic and clinical science.

The paleontologist and researcher of the Atapuerca sites Juan Luis Arsuaga has attended the signing of this agreement, signed by the rector of the UAH, José Vicente Saz Pérez, and the president of HM Hospitales, Dr. Juan Abarca.
